Okay, so remember last Friday I said we were making an offer on a house? Well, after we got back from Canada we received a counter offer and accepted it. So all we have left to do is get a home inspection, which is taking place at 5:30 tonight. If everything goes well with that and the paperwork goes smoothly we expect to close by the 19th of this month! I am excited to finally get into a house and stop renting an apartment. I'm also excited to have more room! This house is a 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom home, so that means we hope (and expect) to have guests! The only problem we have right now is getting out of our current lease....but I'm actually working on that at the moment. Any tips from all y'all would be great, if you have any.

As for getting out of the lease on your apartment: do you know if you are permitted to sell your contract? If so, that's great! Otherwise you might be screwed and have to pay rent for all of the month you would have lived there. Take a look at your lease or ask your landlord if you can sell the lease to someone else.
