Loved playing soccer at the park with my boys. Reminded me of fall and playing soccer in high school.

Bowling
A couple of weeks ago we went bowling with some friends of ours. It was Vessel's first time and he was pretty excited. Those little bowling shoes were so friggin' adorable, I just had to get a picture!

I thought it was a hoot watching lil' V attempt to get the ball down the lane. First try the ball went so slow that I think it barely nicked one of the side pins, but none of them fell down. Eventually we had to get the bumpers up and a ramp for the kids to get the ball going at a decent speed.
In case you were wondering, I'm the crazy mom with the double chin laughing her head off.

Snowboarding in the month of May
We got record snow here in GF. Around 26 inches I think. And this is MAY people. MAY! But, we were stoked to find out that the Great Divide resort was opening for one more day due to all the snow they received in the mountains. So we just had to do some historical May snowboarding.

After a VERY long day, we finally got to eat something besides chocolate covered cinnamon bears and nasty sulfur dioxified dried fruit. Here we are showing off our sunburns.

All that snow after it started to seem like spring kind of threw my body for a loop. Seriously, I felt like I needed to hibernate. And the feeling that winter wasn't over? It kind of depressed me. The weight of the heavy snow broke off tree branches and other stuff around town. Our Bishop's car port collapsed...on top of their van! So sad.

Rock Climbing
For
the 4th of July, our friends Casey and Helen took us rock climbing up
Little Cottonwood Canyon. It was the second time we went with them.
The first time we climbed a route called "The Glass Ocean" because it
appears to be vast as the ocean and smooth as glass. The quartzite rock
is an almost all vertical climb with little to no foot or finger holds.
(I'm sure our avid climber friends would disagree. They can make a
finger hold out of anything!) The Glass Ocean happened to be Mike's
first outdoor rock climbing experience. The route we climbed this time
was named "Daddy Long Legs." A granite slab with less of an incline and a
shorter climbing distance. The canyon was beautiful as we hiked up to
the base of the rock. Vessel loved getting out and playing in the dirt,
not to mention seeing his "girlfriend" Sophie, who is Casey and Helen's
5 month old daughter. Thanks for the wonderful time Casey and Helen!
