Uh Oh, You Caught Me!

 I went upstairs for just a few minutes and came back down to find this little monkey on top of the table helping himself to Vessel's uneaten yogurt and making a huge mess.  But he's just too cute to be mad at.

Garbage Truck

 My kids love trucks, especially the stinky garbage truck.  Just look at them completely entertained on the front step.

Halloween

The kids had a great time dressing up and "Trick or Treating" this year.  Jacob's vampire costume is the same one Vessel wore a few years ago.  And Vessel's costume is a re-use from 2 Halloweens ago.  Whatev.  It's not like they knew or even cared.  In fact, Vessel wanted to wear his costume every day for two weeks leading up to Halloween!  Trick or Treating was a blast this year and hearing Jake say "trick or treat" was the cutest thing I've heard all day.

First Loose Tooth

Tonight my oldest son lost his first tooth.  He is very excited about this new change that signifies growing up!  

And I thought I would just add this cute picture.  Vessel left his daddy a note in the laundry basket using these wooden letters.  I love how he improvised and turned the "Q" into an "O" and the "P" into a lowercase "d".  Nice one, buddy!

Food Cart Fun

Portland has a variety of food carts.  Most of them are downtown, but occasionally we'll find some good ones in random parts of town.  Our latest adventure downtown took us here.  Well, technically, I am the only one who ate at Euro Trash.  Mike decided to sample some Cuban cuisine.  I got the Squid Fana, which is a calamari sandwich topped with curried coleslaw.  Mmmmmmm....

Our next stop was dessert at Scoop ice cream shop.  Check out their menu.  Besides the standard chocolate and vanilla, they've also got some awesome and unique flavors such as avocado, strawberry balsamic, lavender honey almond, and apricot almond cardamom.  

We got 4 flavors to sampleL: salted caramel, oatmeal and brown sugar, blueberry cinnamon, and buttered pecan.  The salted caramel was so heavenly I could've died a happy woman right then and there.

My kids love ice cream and I love my kids.  Just look at those faces.  How could you not love 'em?

Summer Fun

 The boys have loved playing out in the "yard" (if you can call that block of concrete and tiny square of grass behind our house that) catching bugs, exploring, and having picnics at their little table.
